Sophie van Dongen

HR Associate

Sophie van Dongen is part of the Aqua-Spark Human Resources Department,  as an HR Associate. She has just finished her Masters’s degree in Informatierecht at the University of Amsterdam. At the UvA she is a part of the Comenius Project under the supervision of Tarlach McGonagle. This project aims to create a curriculum, including videos, concerning the protection of and threats to Freedom of Expression. Before that, she got her Bachelor’s degree at the honours program of the Utrecht Law College. She is passionate about the protection of Freedom of Expression, the protection of journalists and Data Protection Law/privacy. This focus on innovation and the accompanying (regulatory) challenges fit well with Aqua-Spark. In her free time, she gets energy from working-out, skating and traveling.
